From the first gust of wind at Cob Cottage to the final roll into Hanmer Springs, the 2025 Richmond Glass Mowsworth Rampage was a ride to remember.
On Saturday, 18th October, fifty determined riders took on 86km of Molesworth high-country, a stretch of rugged beauty that tested endurance, teamwork, and good humour in equal measure.
The morning kicked off cold, windy, and dusty, but as the day wore on, the clouds cleared and the spirit of the Rampagers only grew stronger. Laughter echoed through the valleys, helping push every mower and rider over the finish line - capped off with an unforgettable escort through Hanmer township by the Hanmer Springs Rural Fire Brigade.
Each checkpoint along the route came with its own stories - of mateship, of loved ones remembered, and of the purpose that drives this unique event. The Rampage has always been about more than just the ride; it’s about connection, community, and the difference we can make together.
This year’s effort raised over $63,000 (and counting!) for Cancer Society Nelson Tasman and Nelson Tasman Hospice, helping both charities continue their incredible work in our region.

Why It Matters
The Mowsworth Rampage is more than a wild ride through breathtaking backcountry - it’s a way to give back. Funds raised support the work of Cancer Society Nelson Tasman and Nelson Tasman Hospice, helping them provide care, comfort, and community for those who need it most.
Every donation helps make a difference for local people facing some of life’s toughest challenges, and that’s what the Rampage is all about.
As the dust settles, we’re already looking ahead to the next one.
Watch this space - the Rampage will ride again!
